Following the success of the inaugural two-day conference, Grassroots: An Expo for the Cannabis Curious is coming back this fall to answer more of Vancouver’s most pressing cannabis questions. The Georgia Straight, the city’s long-standing source for news and entertainment, is putting on the event in association with the industry titans from Groundwork Consulting to help current and prospective consumers find their place in a newly legal landscape.

Join grey market veterans, policy makers, and top-notch educators as they navigate the fundamentals of product quality, new laws, recreational use, and the future of the Canadian cannabis industry. The weekend-long conference, which takes place September 15 and 16 at SFU Harbour Centre, will feature a variety of exhibitors, lounges, interactive workshops, speakers, and, of course, some weedy entertainment.

Hilary Black, director of patient education and advocacy at Canopy Growth Corp., and Dr. Zachary Walsh, associate professor in the UBC Department of Psychology, discuss pain management and cannabis at the inaugural Grassroots Expo.
