Investigators are seeking help identifying two suspects caught on surveillance video breaking into a cannabis store on the Sunshine Coast.

Sunshine Coast RCMP stated today (March 3) that at 1:45 a.m. on February 13, police responded to an alarm at the Coastal Bay Cannabis shop at 446 Marine Drive in Gibsons, B.C.

After two male suspects had pried open a door, the pair went into and exited the business within a span of two minutes.

Sunshine Coast released surveillance video images of the two suspects.

The first suspect is described as being about 188 centimetres (six-feet, two-inches) tall and was wearing a baseball cap, a black jacket, a grey hoodie, black pants, and shoes with white soles.

He was also carrying a bright orange cooler bag.

The second suspect is described as being about 173 centimetres (five-feet, eight-inches) tall. He was wearing a baseball cap with an emblem or sticker on the brim, a black Nike Mike Jordan jacket, and light-coloured jeans.

He was also carrying a backpack.

Anyone who can assist in identifying either of these two suspects caught is asked to call Sunshine Coast RCMP at 604-885-2266 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The Coastal Bay Cannabis shop was reported in August 2019 to be the first non-medical cannabis retailer to obtain a province license.
