Tired of your good news

Tired of Facebook reminding me of all your milestones, your engagements, your weddings, your pregnancies, your babies. i want to see you slip up, lose your job, get fat. have an addiction, a nervous breakdown, an embarrassing leaked internet video. damn it.

Wow you are sure a catch. No wonder you are alone. Expect to stay that way. You are completely inflexible yet want a woman to bend to your will. Exactly what planet are you from?

your confession makes my stomach turn. wow really? I hope you're not my facebook friend, and I sure as hell hope you're not my "friend" in real life either! O.P. you're one of those people that the world needs less but seems to have so many of! I can't believe this has so many thumbs up :(

You're not friends with this person, so why are you stalking their FB page?

No, you don't wish ill like that on someone you love. There's a difference between love and desire.

love and desire

i've heard that argument before, or similar anyway, from a woman who struggled to love herself. she refused to acknowledge my feelings for what they were. after all, how could i want more than her body if she herself didn't think feel there was anything else to love?

How's the view from up there? I wouldn't know. I'm an average person who works a minimum wage job, does not own a house or car, and doesn't have the money to buy an amazing wardrobe. However, I do apply myself enough to ensure that I'm happy with my life, happy with the choices I make (mistakes and all that can be learned from) and grateful for what I do have...which in turn makes me a positive person who wishes other people well. And that has taken a lot of hard work. I've never known what people are talking about when they say that Vancouverites are miserable but this confession has me thinking maybe its true. Only miserable losers can rejoice in someone else's downfall (because that makes them feel a little bit better about themselves); they can't be proactive and make their lives good cuz that would require work right? Or maybe that would require being really honest about what changes you need to make in order to have a life you're happy with…but it's just easier to be miserable and hope that others are more so right?
