Skytrain Etiquette

It really bugs me how some people cut you off when leaving the skytrain. This morning on my commute to Surrey Central Station from New West I got cut off yet again while exiting the train. I was standing at the door on the right side while a woman was standing on the left side waiting to exit. The doors open and the woman on the left side cuts me off and walks right in front of me hindering me from leaving the train. What is wrong with people? If you're driving and two vehicles are turning right does the one on the left have precedence over the right vehicle to drive into your lane and cut you off? Walking is VERY similar to driving. KNOCK IT OFF!

If this is your biggest problem then you really have no right to complain.
Courtesy? I'd settle for non-incompetent

I don't understand how some people can stand in a doorway and not have it occur to them move?
I think the platform attendants should make themselves useful and offer coaching to some of our more difficult commuters.
"Let's practice letting people off the train, while standing to the side of the door, before we get on the train a few times? Shall we?"
didnt read the memo

about what SIDE of the door to exit from.
Forgotten manners

Seems so many have forgotten their manners, or maybe will never learn any.
I too can't understand why those wanting to enter block the door way when others are trying to get off.
Why the teenagers or those in their early twenties hog the seats and never offer them to someone older.
why commuters sit on the train and either stuff their face or text.
or carry on loud conversations in foreign languages.
Manners, are missing.
If this continues I see Vancouver adopting the train etiquette and hiring Train "PUSHERS" ., we're almost there.
if you don't know what that is, google it.lol

Gas is expensive but at least you have the peace and safety of your own vehicle, nobody bothers you.
