I might be in love

With the woman who works at the local liquor store. I find myself making extra trips, buying one beer at a time just to talk to her. She seems so genuine and caring, even if it's just a show. I've posted about her before but I'm pretty sure I've seen her boyfriend and I worry if I say something it will make her uncomfortable. Besides, men hit on her all the time and she shoots them down pretty hard. I'd love to tell her how she makes my day, every time I see her; that kindness radiates out from her beautiful heart. But she's got three days off now. Maybe I'll work up the courage by Friday.

Am I the only one that gets an extreme creepy stalker vibe from this post?

Don't just ask her out, propose marriage.

Get over it, my friend. Women who work as retail clerks are there to earn a living. Some of them are genuinely friendly to the customers just because they like people and (sometimes) because a bright smile can result in a bigger tip. This does NOT mean they want to go out with you, as this woman apparently makes pretty clear to every other guy who hits on her. If you truly care about her, don't make her life difficult. Sorry to be blunt about this, but the truth is important to hear.

hit on her. You can be friendly and slowly get to know her as a person.
Don't go in so often. Plus know that she might have a boyfriend.

If she's so awesome that men constantly hit on her, and she constantly shoots them down, then don't hit on her!

Be the great guy who just treats her with respect whenever you're in the store. Try to make her laugh... use her first name every time you see her... once in a while have a nice compliment for her. After a few weeks her body language will suggest whether she wants you to ask her out.

Like the woman in your post, I'm in a position where I'm literally paid to be nice to people. It doesn't mean we want to sleep with you!
I'm sure you're a great person but no one wants to be subjected to the constant objectification and sexualizing when they're just providing good service.
Unless she full on says, "we should hang out." leave the poor woman alone!

Yikes!

Well you might have played your cards all wrong. Personally if it were me working there and I saw you in there everyday, I'm going to assume that you are an alcoholic. On those days that you are buying a single beer only? a broke alcoholic. I do hope, for your sake, the feelings are mutual, but look at the facts. You saw someone who might have been her boyfriend and she shoots down all other men who hit on her? I dunno buddy..

Exactly, she is waiting for a marriage proposal. It's like something out of a movie, or a bad sitcom that only runs for 1-2 seasons! Guy asks beer-store girl to marry him, watch their life in half hour installments!

As for people suggesting this is creepy, get a bleeding life. I'm sorry, it's not "creepy" when a man displays interest in a woman. Sometimes I wonder if the 1960s were made up in 1955 and put into the archives, and then I remember: yes, yes they were. I guess that is why most people behave as tho we never had any sort of sexual revolution.
