What sinister people to ask a senior to move into a newly renovated suite and raise their rent 300 dollars, and then to ask them to move back into their old suite now renovated, and raise their rent 300 dollars, I hope you rot in whatever hell you came from slumlords.

It's costs money to do the renovations and many of these buildings desperately need it...

So you think the landlord shouldn't charge more for renovating the suite??? If he renovated the suite, then obviously he isn't a slumlord. And you obviously have no sense of business.

Okay, sure there are situations where units do need fixing. However, what is going on around here is not being done "for the most part" because of that. What is being done is entirely in order to justify jacking up the rent . I've seen buildings that were literally roach hotels where they kicked out tenants, put in some new tiles and cheap tubs and some crappy laminate flooring, and then jacked the rent up about 40%. The rest of the building was totally disgusting, elevator not working, filthy, roaches, rodents, lawn 2' high, etc. They are definitely slumlords! This is happening all the time, and anyone who says otherwise must have been living in a cave somewhere since it's been all over the news for years now.

Slumlord asks a senior to move and pay more 2 times to raise their rent and to renovate the seniors suite is a creep. These people only care about their money wake up.

Renovicting old people on pensions. There is no cheaper rent. They move into an area and make it yuppiland. So much for Vision its disgusting. You want to let the rest of us on the other side of Millionaire die on the streets. While you amass property and the Gov does nothing to protect the working class.
