Pooper Scoopers aka. Dog Walkers in Vancouver

I think they're always a little bit humiliated when they are picking up their dog's poop at the same moment a random stranger is walking by. Especially, if the random stranger is really hot.

Who cares if dog-people feel humiliated picking up their dog's crap. I certainly don't. Doesn't matter if passers-by or I'm "hot" or not, nor the dog-walker themselves. It's their duty to clean up their dog's crap, and if they don't want to endure the humiliation, they can get rid of their dog. I, personally, would never stoop to picking up dog crap, because I would never own a dog. Gross stinky, noisy, invasive beasts, usually coddled to by owners who hve no clue how to "be the Alpha". Ugh!

I think that random hot stranger would like to see you pick up your dogs shit instead of leaving it there. If you feel humiliated when picking up your dogs shit then you should not have a dog...or a kid.

that's actually kind of true, but maybe not for the reason you think- it's not that I'm embarrassed to be picking up poo, it's that for some reason dogs have a sixth sense for when to choose to poop in a not so great spot right when someone else is nearby, so yes we're slightly mortified. Normally fido chooses a nice spot that won't offend anyone, but right when you're going right by me fido decides instead to poop right on top of someone's immaculately manicured prized flowers (don't freak out everyone, I'm making that up as an example- I wouldn't let fido do that!) and I am well aware that I'm being judged and laughed at for fido's unfortunate choices. I swear it's some inside joke dogs have with each other...

I agree, I always enjoy these awkward little moments. Like when the people of Vancouver have to stop being stone cold robots and pick up poop instead haha

The human is supposed to be the master, and yet the dog walks in front while the human follows behind, carrying the poop -bag. That's humiliating in itself.

I'm very happy that someone with as little a clue as you doesn't have any wish to have a dog. Hopefully you don't have any other kind of close animal companion or any children for that matter. As a mother, grandmother, animal friend, and just a generally friendly human, I'm proud to say that not only am I willing to pick up my own dog's poop, I'm also willing to pick up poop left by those disgraceful people who are apparently too good for such a lowly task. As for timing of dogs, well I have to agree that sometimes my best friends have chosen a very inopportune time and location to let it all go. My most memorable time was when she stopped in the middle of the crosswalk in front of several cars....

I always think that the other person is uncomfortable watching me pick up the poo. Doesn't bother me, I love my dog, he's worth it.
