In the process of saving up and goodbye Vancouver! It feels great knowing I'll soon be gone from this place.

Enough money from my parents to be secure for the rest of my life.
I'm 52 and I was very happy to quit a job I hated. I'm not looking for another one.
I've had my share of stress, hardship and tragedy in my life, and I feel no guilt at all about now being able to just do the things I want to.
I know how fortunate I am, and I'm grateful that my parents loved me enough to do this for me. I appreciate their kindness and I pass it along every day, in a number of ways.

So that's my deal. Hope I'm not ruining your "Vancouver experience" too much for you by being unemployed and secure...

that you don't have an inheritance coming to you in your own future.

Do you also hate people who win lottery jackpots?
Those bastards!!!
Fuck them all, eh, for making YOUR life so hard...

To I just inherited...

Congrats. At 52 you're too old to go to anywhere cool without looking like an old pervy fool. Obviously you think you're "made it" so don't let me piss on your parade any longer here.

ps: Unless you have fantastic genetics or are in incredible shape, you're probably about to start discovering very strange things happening to that flabby body you lug around.

There's less of us probably because the job market in Vancouver is absolute shit. Hurray for nepotism and cronyism. There's a bunch of unemployed recent grads looking for jobs (part-time/full-time). Some of us aren't relying on our parents by choice.

I am saving my money to leave Vancouver. It is my home and where I grew up and where all my friends and family reside. It has become dull and dismal. Everyone is miserable and over-worked. I can't wait to leave. I couldn't be more excited about anything.
