I'm far more disgusted at what bus drivers make to be honest.

Driving isn't a valuable skill, that's why we let children (>15) do it.

That being said, fuck Translink and their executive staff.

Try driving a Bus for 1 week, see if you don't feel like going 'Postal' on some of the ridership, there are wackos, drunks, druggies and just plain idiots you will have to deal with. Hopefully you can cope, and not get beaten to a pulp by some psychos that frequent the system from time to time.

I've ridden the bus for decades.
The only times I've seen bus drivers get crap is when they give it---like if they're rude to some homeless person, well, what does he have to lose, getting kicked off the bus?
Or when they refuse to open the door after closing it---funny enough, if you're a young woman they _always open the door_. If you're a guy, they will often just sit, without even having pulled out, acting like they can't see you.

Bus drivers are a great example of overpaid union evil.
