I don't think it means either of those things...

... women make eye contact with me all of the time, and I am pretty sure it is because they are thinking "how can someone so ugly go out in public?" It's like looking at a train wreck, doesn't mean you want to marry it.

You'll have better luck meeting your future wife at a bar or nightclub.

Did you cause the solar eclipse? The world revolves around you, after all...

....so many women avoid any type of eye contact with men! So many of you make the erroneous assumption that mere eye contact means that we want you. This is something men really need to challenge themselves about! As a psychologist in training, I once did an experiment that involved documenting eye contact between males and females and also the importance that each gender attached to the contact. It was overwhelmingly clear that the majority of males assumed that very brief eye contact from any female indicated that she was interested in him. So men, I'm saying this to you in the interests of all of us: PLEASE don't assume that every female who looks at you for more than a second or who is friendly to you, is therefore interested in a relationship. Most of the time we're just looking at another person, or being friendly because we just are, and that's all there is to it. Unless you get some other clear signals (such as prolonged looking), then chances are she isn't telling you she wants to have your babies.

is this the LadyLove/LadyDove guy?

Cuz your posting is sure similar in certain ways.
If so, then I guess that might be (one of) the reason(s) she moved on.
Only open-relationshi/poly women are going to be ok with pairing up with a fickle heart.

Thought Police?

I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with wondering about whether someone is interested in you. It's how a person acts on these thoughts that can cause problems. If you aren't forcing someone into a conversation they don't want to be in, staring at them to the point that they feel uncomfortable, following them home, or other such creepy behaviors, then what is the problem with wondering?

This could have been written by a female. There are some hopelessly romantic females who think the same. I've met some.
