Line etiquette

When a cashier opens a register and says "I'll take the next person in line" they actually mean the NEXT person in line, not you, 3 people back.

So then MOVE

How many times have I been in this position only to have no one actually make a move! One time I saw NO movement whatsoever from anyone so I looked around (being the next person in line) and then I walked over to the cashier. Suddenly this woman screeches at me, shoves me aside, and starts piling her stuff on the counter! As if it was me who messed up. It wasn't. She was the next person but she was already at a cashier and had all her stuff on that counter, and waited at least 10-15 seconds before making any type of response. People need to be reasonable and not get their knickers in a knot about shit like this!

People are too caught up in their minds. COMMUNICATE!!!

If the NEXT person is already at the till then it's the person behind THEM that should move. If THAT person doesn't want to move then they should tell the person BEHIND them to go ahead. People are so bloody afraid to talk to each other or acknowledge that they are living in a society that we all just yell at each other in our heads instead of just talking to each other. It's severely fucked up. How hard is it to just turn around and say, "go ahead."
