I feel you, whether this behavior is intentional or not, it is invalidating towards your feelings and your needs. Chances are this person is not willing to confront your question, because to them perhaps it is deeper than yes or no- more importantly , it's time think about what YOU need right now.

You don't deserve to get the shaft because this person has chosen to go radio silent on you (childish) - I find it helpful to remind myself that we cannot control the actions of others, and as much as it hurts, or causes anxiety, you gotta move forward and put yourself first.
