I miss boring economist Stephen Harper more as each day goes by.

Justin is taxing and spending us into oblivion.

Right wing imbeciles are fine with tax dollars going towards knuckle dragging ego chest pumping things like bigger miltary, wars, more prisons, more backwards war on drugs enforcement that doesnt work. But then cry and moan as soon as soon as it goes towards helping the helpless. Whatever happened that filled the world with idiots who think so backward?

I think they're both dumbasses & neither party should win next election. I hope the ndp get a chance because the other 2 parties have done such a great job.

Harper was an ultra-fundamentalist dogmatic "Christian" who enjoyed poking a stick at equally ultra-fundamentalist (just like him) Muslims from the pulpit of the Jewish seat of parliament, the Knesset. He was simply put out-to-lunch in terms of being entirely unaware of his own hate-inspired highly divisive nature. It's like some people were born to build fences and drive wedges between people.
Government was a playground where boy child Harper got to have his fun. Cost us more than we know.
You can thank a swath of voters between Kelowna and Winnipeg for that one, plus a smattering in the east, all of whom fell temporarily insane and who in the process lost the discriminative capacity to recognize the difference between power and force (while gladly handing over their constitutional liberties in exchange not for security, which is bad enough, but for the false promise of security which is even more pathetic).
It was a truly dark era for Canada. One which, without our ongoing vigilance keeping at bay the hateful separatist tendencies in us all, we risk repeating.

What are you smoking?!...lol. This from June 17.17
"Ottawa has unveiled a plan to boost military spending by more than $30-billion over the next decade – much of it to pay for the ballooning cost of new warships and fighter jets – while leaving the bulk of the new expenditures until after the next election."

... hated him!! But i have to say i hate Justin Trudeau even more. The guy is SOOO off-putting, it's painful seeing his smug/fake little smile every day. What a feeble little twat!

I attended his press conference in Vancouver a while back. We "press" (I had a dogtag that said I was press, so it must be true!) milled about for twenty-five minutes, had the RCMP sniff our bags for, I guess, bombs, then Trudeau's handler comes out with five minutes to curtain and says "OK, you guys get five questions, no followups!" One of the press said, pretty exasperated, 'this is just like Harper!' Same guy returns as "good cop" to give us two more questions.

Trudeau in person was quite underwhelming, and even tho I know I spoke clearly, because my recording of the whole thing is quite clear, he decide to answer a question that I didn't ask. So he's either deaf and didn't understand what I said or he's just got that much contempt for a simple "press" guy like myself.

Years back I actually had a similar issue with a liberal leadership candidate whose name I can't remember---he came to UBC and I asked him about marijuana, and he sort of stared like he didn't understand what was going on until Joyce Murray, IIRC, whispered "it's about marijuana." Later on I heard he often had trouble with English, being francophone, but Trudeau doesn't have that excuse.

Having met a few MPs from all of the parties in my travels, I have to say that the Conservatives were always the most straight-up. You knew where you stood with them, they would state their positions clearly, and I never got the sense that they were tying to butter me up.

The only "good" thing the Liberals will do is legalizing marijuana, which they had bloody well better---but the price to getting that done will be allowing them to screw up other things for a period of time. But once Canada legalizes, the world will have to follow suit, so I guess we can take one for the team, eh?

Why does it not surprise me the biggest issue on your mind is legalizing pot? You must have been smoking fat ones to remember so well those oh so "straight up" replies Harper and his children were patronizing us with during the Duffy case.
