I must confess...

I have a hard time respecting people who take festivals so seriously. It seems like the height of self indulgent narcissism and pointless excess. Sure im glad people are out having fun, maybe even a little jealous. But with so much horrible shit happening in the world, festivals seem pretty wasteful of resources and creative energy. Not to mention you all look horrible in your dirty fun fur and other appropriated accessories. I have seen so many pictures online of festival folk lately, and every time I see them I want to gag. Gross.

I'm not a festival person either, but everyone should be able to have some fun. As long as your tax dollars are not involved, let them be. And stop looking at the pics

... think they all look very attractive! And they can have sex w/ eachother because they all already have herpes, anyway.

What do you expect people in Vancouver to do, sit at home and be miserable like you??? I don't own a TV so festivals are my form of entertainment.

Statistically speaking, you've probably got herpes too.

People going to Vegas or Cabo don't return with some inflated sense of spiritual advancement. You got intoxicated on holiday. Nothing more nothing less

festival lulz

the real kicker is, half of them think they're doing something great, saving the planet, etc. Sad sack of bored rich kids slumming it in the desert/woods. We used to call it camping, but then, we weren't so spoiled that we needed a Dj line up (from a 30 something, before kids these days tell me I don't understand)

Festival goers are mostly annoying

I'm young and hot and fun, and I also cannot stand this festival obsession. I don't care/mind if people have fun. It's that festival people have a huge "festival ego" which seems to need constant stroking. They act like they are special, "in the know," as if attending these festivals required special invite, instead of being open to any lug with money to spend and unlimited vacation time. There may be some genuine love at these festivals, but from what I've observed the 'love' has just been purchased and fast tracked with drugs.

At least some people are having fun

I don't like festival atmosphere generally speaking. After being in the sun cramped with thousands of others, I feel utterly disgusting and grimy and tired. I guess I'm not built for mass all-day festivals with thousands of unwashed bodies. If other people can enjoy this and maintain some fashion all the while, good on them.

been there done that. one friend had a theory that people "only go to those things to get laid", its pretty true.
another old joke was "what did the raver say when the drugs wore off? - This music sucks". thats the other side is the drug use is what makes it fun. takeaway either, you're just another schmuck in the rain and mud.

you do have an option though (like i do) - just don't go on facebook or hipstagram/what have you.
