Everyone Leave Us Alone

My boyfriend is absolutely amazing. He owns a house in Vancouver at 32, is super cute, and has an amazing job. My family absolutely loves him. My dad goes fishing with him already. We have been going out for a year and my mom and sisters keep telling me not to screw it up because I won't find anyone better. They keep asking me when he's going to propose and it really bothers me. Its none of their business. I am hoping he will though within a year. I already have baby names picked out and our kids will be so cute. I just want everyone to leave us alone and let us just be in love in the moment.

to brag. Please leave us alone while I subject you to how great we are together (without any long term commitment).

He might be 32, but you sound 17.

No wonder your mom and your sisters say said “Don’t screw it up!”. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wants a prenup. So yes, let love be in the moment, but on your own end you gotta be smart with your finances before you start thinking about baby names.

Why get married? Live with him for two years and then get half a house.

Maybe he's gay, and is stalling to try to find the right words to tell you about his "secret".

Here's a tip, if you want everyone to leave you alone, then don't post shit like this in public venues. Fucking amateurs...

Why the downvotes?

They won't leave you alone because they're haters. And you and I know that haters gonna hate. You need a mute button for your family because when they nag you to not screw it up, it means that they don't have faith in your ability to run your life as an adult. "...because you won't find anybody better?" While that may be objectively true, for them to actually SAY IT reflects their negative opinion of you. I suspect they pity you, and pity is poison. I myself have been subjected to this kind of nagging because I was born developmentally delayed, and to this day my mother can't understand how I was able to grow up to become a fully functioning adult (and entrepreneur) that might actually want to - gasp! - go on dates, and get married. You don't need this negativity in your life. Cut them off.

Most of the other comments focus on your wonderful boyfriend, but I understand that the "problem" actually lies with the nagging.

You immediately validate this guy by money (job, owns house). You want marriage, but im guessing you dont have an equal amount to bring into that marriage? I hope you would be 100% fine with signing a prenuptial agreement. Id make you sign one.
