2 weeks sober. Not a huge accomplishment but I'm finally going in the right direction so it feels good.

Hey, that IS a big accomplishment. I wrote something similar on here a few years ago. It just gets better :)
don't put yourself down

Do not call yourself hopeless, or say its nothing huge. You have accomplished something great. I have alcoholism on both sides of my family, this is a big step! Do not belittle yourself, be proud. Only those who have not seen addiction or health woes would balk at two weeks. No one would call someone who has been cancer free for two weeks hopeless or say its not a huge accomplishment. You are winning against something just as big as cancer or any other disease. Keep your head up and more so keep self love up. Empower yourself by being kind to yourself.

There's nothing hopeless about feeling good. Stay focused, you can do it.
Don't let your guard down

It's a wonderful feeling to have conquered the booze. One of the secrets is to be terrified of it and don't let your guard down.
You'll know when you're cured when you don't even think about it... and that can take a while.
Meantimes concentrate on how happy you can be without it and how much richer your life is.
01/01/02 is when I gave it up and I still remain terrified of its addictive and seductive qualities
You're a hero

I can't even go two days with out a drink. Every other week I come close to running out of booze and cash. I finish my liquor cabinet and say to myself "try not to buy anything next pay cheque." Pay day arrives and I'm right back to BC Liquor stocking up because......well....because. You're not the hopeless one, you're a hero and doing better than I am.
Way to go!

You are only "hopeless" if you say so. Personally, I don't believe you are hopeless. You have the guts to change. That's more powerful than you can imagine. You now understand that your world is what you make it. Keep up the good work.
Awesome!
