If you really love someone

You let them go. Love is not just a feeling, it's also a choice. And though this contradicts what I just said, everything falls wear it's supposed to. And I can love that.

of everything falling into place. However, whoever said to let go of someone who you love is an ass. Mouth full of bumblebees. NEVER let go of someone who you love

Let them go, if they really want, and choose to go. A lot of overly dramatic types take that to mean "push them away, and put up obstacles making it impossible for them to return". These types cry that they weren't really loved by them, because they didn't keep coming back to get their heart repeatedly broken. Then they'll say something stupid like "everything falls where it's supposed to".

That's exactly the scenario I'm talking about: if they want and choose to go. If you love them let them, no point in trying to retain someone who doesn't want to be there. And try to find happiness in the fact that they are happy.

If you ever truly loved someone like I did, or were in love with someone, you can let them go physically, but that love, and the time you had with them, you always carry that inside of you, until the day you die, and perhaps beyond.

Beautifully put. I know what you mean. It's an almost intrinsic love, so deeply a part of me. I am grateful for having been able to even experience it, and it alone almost feels like enough, I just wish I didn't miss them so much :(

Pretending to have no agency over facets of your life so you feel better only goes so far.
