Don't Get It

So, the other day I was at a restaurant with a male friend, and the waitress referred to us as "boys," "what do you boys want?" I've heard feminists go off about being called "girls" and how they will say "I'm sorry, I've already menstruated, so I'm a woman." Literally, they will do these things, in public, if any man dares to call them a "girl." Somehow, tho, I managed to just deal with it---and you know, if I didn't have friends who were toxic feminists, I would _never have noticed at all_. It's sad that we cannot avoid the corruption of our nervous system by all of this bollox.

Being Asian in her 30s, 10/10 I'm referred to as 'girl' over 'woman' Yes, it's frustrating...it's so common I've normalized it to the point of just shrugging it off, but it never used to be as easy...

Menstruated

You could have told her, that women, generally don't talk about their bloody vaginas with guys they haven't slept with yet. Or the next time a woman calls you a boy, just tell her that you've already popped your first boner, so that makes you a man.

Menstruation does not make a girl a woman

That is something a pedo would use to justify his fucked up lust.

I get what your'e saying but it's really a non-issue. It really depends in what context you're using 'boys' and 'girls'. There's a right time and a wrong time. Learn to understand the difference.

Well then

Aren't you speaking from a place of privilege? Seriously dude you don't even have a clue do you? You think this equates what we have to go through? This is a woman writing. How about this: I was head-on-smashed-into by a man driving a huge SUV. I did nothing wrong. Buddy blew a yield while speeding and crossed into oncoming traffic (me). ICBC wrote in their report that it was "the fault of the girl". I was 32 at the time, with almost 20 years of clean driving (not even a speeding or parking ticket). I hired a lawyer and he told me to drop it and accept it because both cars were totalled and nobody would believe me because I was a "young girl" and the other driver was a "seasoned middle aged man". Another lawyer, same story. Being a "girl" effed my life, and your whining because a waitress asked you a question? Gain some perspective.

Sir

Anyway, yes “feminists” should chill on the girl vs woman thing. It’s plain stupid. I’m a woman. I call men boys cuz it’s cute. Also, most other languages have feminine and masculine pronouns. Do you see them changing them? Do you think the French would entertain that for a second? Not a snowball’s chance in hell.

To quote someone else

Dec 1, 2017 at 2:55am

"Do you ever hear an argument so stupid that you don't even know how to reply? Not becasue you don't know the answer, but becasue you don't even know where to begin. Because the foundation of knowledge that you would need to impart on this person, before you could even begin to drag them out of their sinkhole of ignorance, would cost thousands of dollars if it were coming out of a university."

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I am pretty sure the whole idea to this is that the woman is allowed to decide when, if ever, she wants to be called girl, it's not about "be reasonable, dear."

I mean, this woman did this as an employee of a restaurant. That's gender-based violence. Do I have to put up with that? It was a chain restaurant, too? Shouldn't they pay me some compensation for the hit to my dignity? And it's whether I perceive a hit to my dignity, not some rational standard of "be reasonable, dear, he didn't touch you."

I am inferring that the relevant feature is that in this "context," the complainant is a male, and therefore the complaint is void, because men are the Imperial Knights Commanders of the Cisheteropatriarchy and cannot be anything but oppressors, so it is impossible to discriminate against them.
