Just like Abbi

If I have a crush on someone, I get super awkward when I talk to them. I end up blurting out weird comments really loudly or just saying super stupid shit. I hope that someone, someday, finds this hilarious rather than wanting to stop talking to me immediately.

If you’re a woman then yes. If you’re a man then you lack confidence and therefore are unworthy.

Oh, you're not alone, my dear.

Last year my cousin introduced me to one of his male friends, and I developed a huge sexual crush on him. A week later I was walking down the street actually fantasizing about him , and he walked out of a store right in front of me! He greeted me warmly, but I was so rattled that I went completely giddy and started laughing, as if he had just said something really funny. It was like I suddenly had squirrels in my head and couldn't think clearly He looked confused but was still very nice.

The conversation lasted less than a minute, but went lurching downhill from there , making less and less sense. At one point, I was so anxious that I blurted out a response to a comment that I was anticipating he was about to make, but hadn't actually made yet. He looked totally bewildered!
That's when I decided to end it quickly, so I smiled and said "Well, it was so nice seeing it again! Arrivederci! Ciao!", and walked away.
( "Arrivederci...Ciao" ! - Wtf...!!! - Where did that come from? Who even says that?! - Like suddenly it's 1960's Rome, and I'm Audrey frigging Hepburn, with a head injury or something. So stupid.)

Not long after, my company transferred me out here, so I haven't seen him since. I'm hoping that he understood that my weirdness was because I was so smitten with him, and he took it as a compliment. Maybe he even remembers me as being fascinating and mysterious, who knows.

Truth is, he probably just thought I was totally effin' batty and is glad that I moved away.

That's a lot more endearing than what I've managed so far. There's an insane amount of fidgeting and blushing that could possibly lead to running away. If I see them again I'll cover the embarrassment of the previous behaviour by wearing an aggressively angry face and avoiding eye contact at all costs. So yeah, good luck to both of us.

I wouldn't stop talking to you. But then I like the odd ones the best.

Not that I'm happy that we all feel awkward but I'm glad I'm not alone lol.
@ oh, you're not alone, my dear - hahahahahahahaha yes, that is what I'm like too.
@ Redacted, nope, the unavoidable blushing is there for me too. Dead give away.

This is exactly how I feel around anyone I am interested in! I am currently working on eye contact AND a smile if I see a man I am interested in, but mostly I end up looking down because I get nervous. If conversation is involved, super loud and awkward comments are the mainstay. I too am hoping there are a few who aren't bothered by this!

I knew a girl once who acted like a horse in the rodeo or something. This kinda helps
