Professional in well paying job

I keep getting holes at heel of my work socks which shows so I decided to rotate the sock when this happens so it does not show in obvious way. I plan to rotate 90 degrees when I get 2nd hole and so on. I am tight wad who own home in nice area, what can I say?

Learn how to sew. It need not be ambitious, just minor repairs. As a thrifty man myself (six figures only goes so far in this town), I have saved a mint of money putting back my own buttons, reattaching velcro and zippers, replacing pockets, and so on.

It is much better than rotating the hole, which is vulgar. Eventually you are just wearing a netting.

Someone was making Kevlar socks. They might well outlast us all.

In the 70's there was this miserly landlady and her aged Mother who owned this rambling, wood construction giant-sized house/rental complex in the West End of Vancouver.

This nasty misery pair would sit in the dark of their
living room to save money, and with the blinds always open I would see them regularly. They wore toques, and overcoats, and looked like garden gnomes.

That was enough to put me off the concept of being miserly, for life.

Enjoy your cheapness, my friend. I'm sure those who will pick over your assets when you're dead will appreciate you.

I wouldn't brag until I had learned to write in English properly. Very "professional", there, bub.

probably buy a pair of socks for a homeless person each time you do a rotation. Win/Win.

Just a thought ..

You might end up losing your job over that sort of thing.. trust me. Buy new socks.

You know hoarding isn't healthy, right?
Buy some fucking socks. Honest to god.
if I saw your socks, I would judge the shit out of you. Not for being poor, for being such a sanctimonious cheapskate. Isn't your comfort worth something? Hope your cash keeps you warm at night.
