Taking a Chance

My life changed last year. I spent a couple of weeks in Montreal and I met this amazing man. I had literally spent 5 years on the dating grind here and it was awful and so depressing. He literally swept me off my feet. He had the confidence to walk up to me and have a real conversation. We had coffee, then dinner, and then we danced. I fell for him immediately. He flew down to visit me and I flew down again to visit him and I realized this is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. So I am taking a chance at love and am moving to Montreal and I am just really scared.

The way you describe thing you would be crazy not to go.

Advice: Avoid joint bank accounts/finances. Keep hold of your own fucking money.

Don't be scared - be excited

Even if it ultimately doesn't work out, it's a smart move. Life is short and you must take risks. Good for you!

Congrats!

I've been to Montreal and the women there are 10 times more friendly and open than they are here.

I did it too

Bring warm clothes - Montreal winters can be brutal. (that's why I moved to Vancouver many years ago). People of all genders in Montreal are way friendlier and more open than on the West Coast. I've had great conversations just waiting at bus stops there. Life is a journey, so go and enjoy.
