I've been in that situation many times because of people that died on me, so I get where you are coming from. Nonetheless however it's not healthy at all to fret over what could have or should have happened if that person was still alive. This kind of thinking is redundant and gets you nowhere. The best thing to do is to be appreciative of what you have and carry on living your life.

Not a trace left of the person you once loved, the person I once loved. Not fulfilling what you envisioned for them, what they had once envisioned for themselves. I guess we won’t be missing us. Happy year.
