The cat's meow

My family had adopted a middle-aged cat when I was younger. She died a while back and I was totally devastated. I loved her dearly and was the only one she let pick her up. Shortly after she died and roughly about ten years ago, I was gifted a cat from a friend whose own feline had a litter. It's crazy to me that she's 10 or 11 now but I could not imagine getting another cat. My current kitty is the best I could ask for, she's cuddly and sometimes talkative - but doesn't overdo it (which would be annoying). I guess this confession is: I find it sad that I'm thinking about her own mortality that she is unaware of. I think I'll get a dog eventually but not until I'm in my 40's.

regularly taking her to the vet?
If so, then she could live right into her 20s.
My parents' cats often lived into their 20s (or at least 18 - 19) and good care is what did it.

To those people who are cheap pieces of shit who won't take your pets to the vet -or wait until it's too late- you fucking suck and shouldn't have pets!
