Darwin Award?

I was walking down the stairs at a skytrain station. There was a few people in front of me. One of the people pulls out their phone and stops mid-stair to write a text (or something). I ended up knocking them down and they fell down the stairs. I felt terrible but ended up turning back and booking it the other way because I didn't want to start a conflict. Moral of the story put the phone down until your not on the stairs.

you did that on purpose so you can post about your "achievement." You must be one of those technology haters.

I see this all the time. Cellular Zombies. It's as if there is no one else around except for them. They are the most self centered people in the city.

I'm not happy they were knocked over in your case, but it is mostly their fault.

This is becoming a huge problem in our society. I'm actually amazed that there aren't more incidents like this reported. I've almost run over people with my bike when they've stepped right onto the road in front of me without so much as glancing up from their phone. One such woman actually stopped dead in the middle of the road after wandering off the sidewalk (not in a crosswalk) and proceeded to type a text, all the while cars are honking at her and she was totally oblivious. How dumb are these people????
