Embarrassed for my city

When good bands come through town, I feel embarrassed that we dont't even have a good local opener for them.

I've been in bands big enough to tour, and believe me, the last thing on anyone's mind is the local support band. Chances are you don't even watch the wannabes.

Sure, and it was exciting. And the climb to the top blah blah blah...
But when you're actually in charge of a show as the headliners, you're living on the road. Hotels, eating out always, drinking alcohol from boredom before shows, soundchecks which take ages(local support bands are lucky to get 15 minutes from the crew who are often ready to go out and eat themselves)...as well as getting up at noon because every night after a show it's relatively wild...
From time to time you might get along with the local bands, but if you don't it's no big deal either...because tomorrow you're off to the next destination. Local bands are like extras in a Hollywood movie being shot in Vancouver lol

How smug. You better not be a member of nickleback or I'm going to find you and punch you in the nose.
