If you care so much about what other people are eating, it's a clear sign that you have a First World Problem.

When you care what other people are eating (meat, eggs, dairy) it's because you care about the welfare of the planet and therefore it is a WORLD problem. Please educate yourself.

that's why people these days seem to walk around with a cork up their asses. They're always fixated on what other people are doing so much when they should get a life. Worry about yourself. Just live and let live.

I honestly don't care about what other people eat. You eat what you like and I'll eat what I like.

It's looking like antibiotic resistant superbugs are getting pretty serious. Last time I checked MRSA kills more people than HIV.

Thing is industrial meat breeds antibiotic resistance due to massive overuse. So even if one doesn't give a rat's patootie about animal cruelty, think of the humans.

And don't get me started about beef and water use.

Anyways, it's probably a good idea to lay off the meat a little.

Unless you grow your own food, your own clothes, generate your own electricity, live off the grid, etc. you are also part of the problem. Almost every human activity generates waste and environmental damage of some kind. What any one person consumes won't have a significant impact on world production anyway. Until they start growing meat in the lab, people will continue to eat meat, and meat will continue to be produced. Deal with it.

What is the phrase "First World problems" supposed to signify? That no one here has a right to complain about anything because someone else somewhere else has a bigger problem? That we should all refrain from drawing attention to problems around us until the problems in underdeveloped countries are sorted out? It makes no sense. And if whining about First World problems is ridiculous, what is there to say about whining about people whining about First World problems?

Does that include the animals? I'm sure they'd be happy to live too.

Sure I'm part of the problem. I'm glad we can agree that there is a problem. It's going to be a rough time if antibiotics don't work and a little infection can turn lethal. So I agree, we need to deal with it.
I had meat five minutes ago. I hadn't had any for two weeks and it'll probably be longer before I do again.
