Don't know what the CoV is doing but 3000 dollars a month rent is not "affordable" .Any real estate projects they back should reflect that reality and take into account the actual people they are supposed to be working for. It feels more and more that the people making these decisions doesn't actually know what it is like to be an average working person here.

I think "affordable" needs to formally defined as the city has no clue what actual salaries are. Guess what Gregor and crew? If it's more than 30% of the median Vancouver monthly take home salary (which is much, much lower than other comparable Canadian cities), it isn't affordable!

Of course they don't!!!

Obviously you're not paying attention.

We now live in a world with "haves" and "have nots"

Guess which one you are?
