Skytrain Hours

So Translink is considering expanding Skytrain hours so the drunks can get home at 3:00 AM. Maybe while they're at it, they can expand Handydart hours so I can get home after 10:00 PM. Presently if I go into town I have to be at Skytrain by 9:00 PM in order to meet the latest Handydart possible at the other end. That means no concerts, plays, or other events that end after 8:30.

Yeah but they will probably screw over everyone that has to be to work early Saturday and Sunday mornings...

That's terrible.... truly. I'm sorry to hear that. Yes they should expand those hours as well!

Yeah handydart hours suck and they are never on time. As for concerts and such that is what taxi savers are for. Still costs $. but it helps when you need to get somewhere off hours or where handydart is not available.

This is important and I bet a lot of folks are like me and had no idea. I will follow up my skytrain-related email to them with one about this, for sure.

Following a hip replacement I had to rely on Handi-Dart to get me to follow-up app't w/the surgeon. On one trip home the driver decided that a woman who lived way the f out in Coquitlam deserved to get home before me--I live in New West and the drive usually went through Bby. first. then NW, then east. I was on that f'n bus for over 3 hrs., with no bathroom break and no explanation from the driver. I complained to HandiDart and got sweet f-all in reply.

but it's not just "drunks" who get home at 3:00am fyi

I agree, but it is the drunks who are the reason Translink is considering expanding hours. It would make more sense to start earlier rather than end later, so people could get to work.
