some advice for a friend of mine

I'm sorry you were bullied at work four years ago. They had no right to treat you like a piece of garbage or blame you for things that were beyond your control. But dwelling on it is gonna get you nowhere in life. Stop beating yourself up about the past and just be glad that you now have a much better job. Be grateful that this new group of people that you work with are treating you with dignity and respect. It's the good people that matter. As for those other losers that bullied you? Who cares about them. They'll get theirs in the end. They made their bed, they'll sleep in it.

Confession?

Isn't this really something to tell them in person? How is this a confession?

Oh, okay

Your armchair psychology isn't helping. People repeat patterns of dysfunction from the past so obviously this person is reflecting because they are looking to process the life lesson here. Instead of becoming yet another bully, why don't you offer this person support or cut them some slack.

I bet your life isn't perfect. It is hard to see what is going on from within it.

So what?

Who cares if it isn't a "confession". Most of these are rants which I like to read too.

Who cares

It's a free country so anyone can post whatever they want. I don't write my "confessions" for you. I write them to get things off my chest or for my own enjoyment.
