Pier 1 had their Valentine's stuff up December 27th. My neck almost snapped off doing a double take.

when a holiday of some kind isn't being advertised. Stores tell us what to do and how to spend our money. I learn to ignore it as I don't participate.

This is exactly why I’m not going into retail outlets for the next while. I’m sick of this game of being encouraged to spend my hard earned money on trendy, seasonal garbage that just ends up in the landfill anyway.

It’s sickening. Valentine’s Day is for suckers. If you love someone you can show them everyday in some way. You don’t need a national day to recognize the SO in your life. Do it today!
