There's a reason why I'm still single

I was contacted by a matchmaker on Linkedin, which I thought was weird to begin with but apparently, she trolls Linkedin for accomplished professionals to match with her clients. I wasn't going to respond to her connection request but curiosity got the better of me, and I told her as much. I expressed I wasn't looking for a relationship at the moment but I did enjoy meeting people, so I accepted her request. Her response was that "everyone says they're not looking to meet someone but I think you should always keep your options open". Cut to last week when she sends me an email that basically says we should meet up for a coffee and she gives me this small window of time during work hours at a place that would take me at least 30 minutes round trip to get to, not to mention the coffee meetup itself. I told her the time frame didn't work for me so I gave her a time after work. I guess she didn't like that because I haven't heard back from her since. I guess I'm going to remain single. Darn.

That's actually a creepy story. Really inappropriate use of LinkedIn. You should report it.

Well, it sounds like that's what you wanted. You're not taking any initiatives, warn people beforehand that you're not interested, then seem reluctant to meet... what were you hoping for? Can't blame Vancouver women or this lady in particular for your lack of success.
