Children

When you have children you are responsible for them. Not the government. It is not up to the government to support your children.

I know a wealthy family. The father is keeping all the money. All the kids are living off the government system. So the taxpayer supports all the kids for most of thier lives. When the father dies they become wealthy.

We elect our government, and pay them their salary in the way of taxes to properly manage the economy, and create opportunity in the way of jobs so that parents have the necessary means to support their children. If anyone, me, you, and everyone else, continues to pay elected officials (by paying taxes) that aren't meeting their contractual obligation to properly manage the economy, and create opportunity for people to support their children, then we ourselves are responsible and accountable for supporting all those children out of the money we take home and keep for ourselves. If responsibility does not fall on your public servants (that are not doing their jobs), then it falls on you personally for not firing them. Simple as that.

It depends....

.....what happens if everyone decides not to have any kids because they can’t afford them? The future of humanity depends on new people being born. We no longer live in a society where most families can live on one income, which means that almost all families do require child care at some point. When that care costs so much or is almost impossible to find, or both, it creates a huge burden on the society. If the children that are born aren’t properly cared for, either by a parent who can afford to stay home with them or with quality daycare, those children will very likely grow up to create additional burdens on the society due to psychological issues, etc. Have you never heard of the concept that it takes a village to raise a child? In some way we are ALL responsible for the next generation. Don’t forget that it’s going to be them that will be taking care of YOU someday.

I would submit most of the ones needing support are because of their own parents bad decisions , not a failing of the government to create jobs.
