I am done university

I see that it has prepared me to work unpaid overtime in downtown offices and compete for a low position amongst the status of the Global-Elite class in Vancouver or other global cities such as New York and London. Economic geography taught me the truth. I am leaving this city ASAP. Please learn about globalization from geography departments at universities. Please do not buy into your high school teacher's ideological virtue signalling. Turns out that they are two worlds apart. Take geography.

... "twenty years of schooling and they put you on the day shift." More like 25 now ;)

And as Lennon/Ono said:

"When they've tortured and scared you for twenty-odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
...
Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see"

University is corporate obedience training---and unlike K-12, _you pay for University_. It's a big Government-subsidized scam. There aren't enough jobs for the degree-holders, and the "lucky ones" I grew up with end up working for the University that sold them their degrees, doing paperwork that a Grade 3 student of reasonable intelligence could do. I know this because in my Vancouver Elementary School, we did relief for the school secretary. We could have done everything she did, if they let us, but, of course, we had to sit in rows, learn to "follow the leader."

"As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all"

Your time is your own. The Government steals your time, nationalizes it.

Like grade school, it's there to prepare you for the workforce. Two breaks and a lunch, then continue grind out the workload. University, you're being prepared for the workforce at a higher caliber. You can use what you learnt at university at dinner parties dropping your pearls of wisdom to impress your friends and appear engaged even though you're wiped out trying to make ends meet in this vastly overpriced city.

Try applying for some government jobs. Boomers are retiring, there are jobs available, and people with university degrees, no matter what discipline, tend to be serious contenders
