The truth will set you free.
It might not give you the desired outcome, but in the end you'll walk tall knowing you did the best you could, to be honest with others and yourself.
The only exception is telling truth that would hurt others more than it would help them. Don't drudge up things from the past that will do more harm than good. Other than that, Good luck!
