I just picked up the phone

I'm not sure why but I let a great friendship lapse for 25 years, then one day picked up the phone and dialed my old friend. "It's sad", we agreed for having neglected each other so, but we just picked up like no time had passed at all.

Some friendships are like cacti - they just survive without much nourishment.

Thinking of all the folks I could reconnect with. Maybe this life is not so lonely after all.

Yes... there is a friend in Abb who I haven't seen in approx 13 years (though her b/f and I didn't like each other... but maybe they're not together anymore?) and she was the most fun of my 3 close fem friends.

My Story.

I lost track of a good friend around 1994 and then in 2007 when Facebook came out I found his brother online and added him. He lives in Ontario and he invited me to stay at his house. I went there and drank beer with him and it was like high school never ended. We laughed the whole trip. I am so glad I got in touch with him. I also met a very hot woman through Facebook that I dated once and I stayed with her for a week. We had a lot of sex. Best week of my life.

To get in touch with someone from my past but was too shy. Then I looked her up on Fb and saw she was doing well. Strangely enough I felt no jealousy or schaudenfreud or whatever. Just really glad for her. Christ what's wrong with me! I must be getting old and soft
