I thought the two of us could get along fine
But you had other thoughts in mind
You seemed to sleep with everyone
but why didn't I get a chance at some fun
All shapes and sizes you gave them a shot
so where was the signup to reserve my spot
I'm certain I could have been the best
I knew you deeper than the rest
More than sex, we could have talked too
But no chance now, everything is through
Looks like you're done with that life now
But if you change your mind, I'm not bad with the plow.

Philosophy, books, coffee and art
I know what's important to your heart
That lack you feel without me near
Could easily be solved my reluctant dear
If you'd just let us be a pair
Or even once... a just-the-tip affair.

Write a poem about consent. You sound like that stalker that thought he could stop me from dating other guys just by "being first in line", whatever that meant.
I like what a previous poster

said about the power of desire and self deception. Still doesn't stop me from needing a cigarette after reading one of these poems.

Truly
Madly
Deeply
Savage Garden
Savage beasts
I wait
I yearn
To feel
The burn

Don't have to slam my door no more
Bend on down on my floor (it's heated; really it's nice)
Hard and quick for the wasted years
and for being a b*tch and stealing my beers
I love you
