for those of you who criticize this shitpost, let me just say that it gets a bit tiring reading the constant griping about how everything sucks in vancouver. sucks so bad for you? yeah, leave. i'd give that advice to any friend in a bad situation: vote with your feet. there are other places in canada you can live, often places that you've moved here from. you think you've watched this town in decline in the 5 to 10 years you've been here? try having been born here. those of us who were, try to keep a positive attitude about life and human nature and the changing face of a city. all cities change. you may have never met any of us vancouver-born kids (or, by the sounds of it, any of us cool ones). you may have only met bitter folks from ontario who came here and are unhappy that the city didn't bow down and give them everything they were hoping for within a few short years, after leaving their hometown because it didn't offer them what they wanted. reverse rant over, gotta get back to my beer and my fun friends and the good life this city offers. peace out.
