Housing Affordability?

I can't believe we have a banana republic here that's trying to destroy the real estate market because its constituency of Government Union members can no longer afford homes. Since when was Government instituted to ensure that BCGEU and CUPE could buy a home?

I know teachers with 2-3 homes as investments....I know firefighters with 4-5 homes.

Who do you think is going to haul away your garbage and pave your streets when working people can no longer afford to live in the lower mainland. Do you think that Chinese millionaire who lives in his investment property for two months out of the year is going to come and pick up your empty pop cans. Perhaps you should grow a brain before commenting about things you don't understand.
