Judgemental Busy Bodies

I am almost done with the arrogant idiots in this city that ruin most beautiful days in Vancouver. Live and work in Yaletown. Out for a nice Morning stroll. Had an old man parking his car, falsely accuse me of something I was not doing. I calmly told him I was not doing what he stated. It is not appropriate for him to accusing me of things of have not done. Would not let up. Filmed me as I was trying to deal with the matter at hand and did not leave . Then followed me in a hostile way. Asked him to stay away from me or I would call the police. He got angrier and pursued behind me again still on his rant. I did not have my phone to call the police. I stopped at the local coffee shop asked for help from men who were there. Explained calmly that I would like to go home but do not want to be followed by this man. They helped. The man showed up told everyone I was crazy, about all his false accusations. Since when does correcting someone make you crazy. What kind of person, follows, harasses and upsets someone that way. Then slanders them publicly in thier own community. Vancouver you need to mind your own business. Get some class. Ridiculous. Thank you to the men who helped so I could walk home safely without being followed. I am going to pay in advance for your coffee tomorrow morning.

There are crazy people everywhere.

What did he think you were doing?

Kind of odd that you left that piece out. Just curious.

No Fun Vancouver

Vancouverites have always fancied themselves the arbiters of truth and justice. The collective level of self-delusion in this city is of the charts.

Okay but

What were you doing?

Awful moment, but...

That behaviour seems way over the top, like possibly mental illness. I'm not sure that's not a reflection on everyone in Yaletown or Vancouver. Also, was it necessary to note that he was old? I'm not sure how that's relevant. Would anyone mention skin colour in this situation? Not likely.
I'm sorry you had this nasty experience, but can't help but mention the other.

Skeptical

Thanks for sharing, but your story is incomplete without stating/admitting what exactly it was that the old man parking his car accused you of doing. Without this crucial missing piece of the puzzle, we can't conclude whether that man was a crazy old crank, or if he was justifiably offended by whatever it was that you did which led him to take the trouble to bring out his mobile device and start recording the exchange between the two of you. Get back to us promptly with these missing details, so that we can fully analyze the information at hand and judge you accordingly.

P.S.: The word "morning" is not a proper noun, and therefore does not need to be capitalized. Just one of many grammatical errors in your so-called confession. I will assume that auto-correct didn't catch the misspelling of "their," but you shouldn’t be so lazy and leave it to fix that for you in the first place.

One person

One person doesnt equal Vancouver.

Ps. Why’d you ask the men? We’re all the same now that #metoo is here.

Ask a feminist to walk you home next time ... as men have no value in this society.

Men have value, as chattel, to be taxed and pushed around! After all, someone needs to fund all of the Women's Studies Departments in the Universities!

Two sides to every story...

and yours does not pass the smell test.
