limb lengthening surgery

Ive always wanted to be normal height....Im 5'2 and I always wear heels to achieve that but I just look like a short girl in high heels.Everyone in my fam is tall too.I am seriously thinking of heading to Baltimore to get surgery that will make my legs 2 to 3 inches taller. It exists and has been done for thousands of really rich people for about a decade or so.Total cost is $150 k....you also need to be in a wheelchair for about a year, which I feel would be worth it since I wont need heels anymore. My family would support me(I think)but my boyfriend basically told me I have mental issues for even considering it.I have been self conscious about my height my whole life, and this will help me feel better about myself.I have a beautiful face (its been said)fit body and I think my lack of height detracts from that.I hope he doesnt make me choose between him and the surgery....

But that us a HUGE commitment! If he really loves you then I can see why he'd support you but asking him to basically be your caretaker for a year and beyond is asking A LOT! It depends how long you've been with him. Also, I am 5'2" and people always make comments. When telling stories they compare tiny people and animals to me which is really annoying, so I get it. However, getting your legs cut off and reattached just to feel more attractive does call your mental stability into question. Not to mention your priorities.

if you need to feel better about yourself

to your boyfriend. Supporting you in this would be akin to complicity with self abuse. We all have our fitishes, but they shouldn't all be supported.

JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!

You should make an appointment to a good psychiatrist as soon as possible.

Seriously OP, you are going to spend a year in a wheelchair and $150,000 USD ($200,000 CAD) to be 5'4"?????? . I'm a 5'4" female and there are no advantages to being average height. You still won't see anything at concerts, clothes at the mall are all sold out in the too common sizes that we wear, you won't be a head-turner as you walk down the street. You'll just be.... average.... and you'll probably wreck your legs. I'm siding with your boyfriend on this one.

Your boyfriend..

is a smart person. You should take his advice..

just because

surgery worked out for some people does not mean the surgery will work out for you. Something might go wrong - surgeons and anesthesiologists make mistakes- and and you would be worse off, and minus the money. Practice gratitude for what you do have - it sounds like alot.

This reminds me of my wife, when we were dating. She was in her teens and constantly talking garbage like this. In my then gf's case it was shit like getting permanent makeup put on her face.

Methinks females are hard driven to talk this way. It's some kind of wack attention thing, and eventually she should grow out of it.
