To my daughter's birth mother

I don't know what the circumstances were when you found out you were pregnant and didn't want to keep your baby. But I applaud you for deciding to continue the pregnancy. And I can't imaging the agony you must have felt when you decided to leave her behind at the orphanage so that she could have a second chance at a better life. You are probably wondering how she is doing and I want to say she is thriving. No one has made us given us so much joy as your daughter and she has transformed our life in an extraordinary and profound way. Her smile is infectious and I wish you could see pictures to see how happy we all are. To paraphrase Dr. Seuss, "Our heart grew three sizes" when she joined our family.
