What's the deal with a platonic
posted March 27th, 2018 at 12:06 PM
female friend of mine (I am male) who always assumes I will pay the bill at a restaurant?
After speaking up last time and saying, "You know, we're not a couple, your turn to pay," she lost her shit.
Friendship over just like that.
BTW, forget about platonic. Women should chip in sometimes when they're part of a couple.
It's 2018 right?

Why do you insist on globalizing all womankind. This is your friend and you talk to this forum and not them. I dont believe it. I call bullshit.

Wow! Even on dates would go dutch. Only time I expect another to pay is if they invite me to eat and say it’s on them, then I get the tip or at try too. People are just so entitled now adays

... the best female friends I ever had would literally fight me for the bill, so she could pay it. If I picked it up, she would grab it and fight with me for it. The only way I was able to pay is if I went to the washroom, paid on the way back. One in a million. She also admitted we live in a matriarchy.

I'm a woman who has always paid for everything in the relationship, with friends we usually split the bill or take turns. Where the hell are these guys that take you out on dates and pay? Seriously. I would like to meet one.

That's all you ever were. Why'd it take so long to wise up?

This woman wasn't being his friend. She was just using him as a free meal ticket to eat out. If she didn't have the funds then, she could have offered to pay the next time out.

She should not expect you to pay or take that for granted. Not sure what type of restaurant you were at. Maybe it was way to expensive for her to pay her share. P.S. I am a woman, who pays for everyone usually. You can't take it with you. My Ex did not have to worry or pay. Where are these men that pay?

I have multiple close friends (with good paying jobs) who still think the man should pay if they go on a date. I think this is absurd, offensive and sets women back to the 1950s. I ask them "Why on earth do you want to give the impression that you need him to pay for you or that you're only in it for his cash?" They reply "It's not about that, but he IS the man so he should pay if he wants to go out with me." I can't vomit enough when I hear this hypocrisy "I'm a woman hear me roar but men should always pay". People like that deserve to be alone.

Didn't you read the "confession". The "friendship" is over. They don't talk anymore.
