White Privilege...

Mar 17, 2018 at 9:10pm

... is 100% made up. It's basically a theology of "original sin" for white people, except there is no baptism to get rid of it. It's completely abusive and no one need believe in it. If people around you bring it up, simply tell them "I do not believe in that neomarxist academic theory, it is refuted by science."

Elite Privilege

The only white privilege was the privilege of not being targeted first by the multinational elites as blacks have been through media and entertainment via promotions of promiscuity, drugs, and violence. Whites are now targeted by the same power structure via means of color and gender shaming, and pitting men and women against each other with a bunch of PC nonsense. This is all to reduce the populations, and prosperity within these demographics. Ironic how the ones, that cry the loudest, and point the most fingers, are also the ones that are most responsible for creating these problems and divisions.

It doesn't matter if it means nothing to you. It means something in reality and you ignoring didn't change it.

Your oppression by a capitalist system and by a classist system are two identifiable layers of crap you deal with based on what you have shared here. Each system of oppression adds a heavier load to face the world with. (You could have other layers. Idk.)

Some deal with crap by a capitalist system of oppression. (Money holds power.)
Some deal with crap by a classist system of oppression. (Social standing holds power.)
Some deal with crap by a racist system of oppression. (Globally Caucasians have colonized for centuries and hold power.)
Some deal with crap by a sexist system of oppression. (Men hold societal power globally in a way we have forgotten about including women not being able to vote until only 100ish years ago and women not being able to own property without a man's cosigning until about the 70s.)
Some deal with crap by an ableist system of oppression. (Physical or intellectual disabilities are significantly impactful in how people treat you differently.)
Some deal with crap by a bodyshaming system of oppression. (The dismissal of those who do not appear conventionally physically desirable is a bizarre notion when you realize that fat and hairy people were the standard for sexy for thousands of years.)
Some deal with crap by an ageist system of oppression. (Sex sells and people biologically wanna fuck fresh product.)

I am that some who deals with all that. Others also face queerphobia and xenophobia but those oppression systems aren't imposed on me directly. Religion has never been part of my life by my surname is highly associated with a major religion so I get a tiny fraction of the oppression from that factor.

Your pain matters and I don't doubt your oppression is shitty but please note that your conveniences are built on the backs of the people this "Confession" is dismissing. Being identified with a powerful group has perks even when you're not powerful individually by capitalism's standards. You refusing to acknowledge those built in advantages doesn't change the fact that they exist.

The best explanation I have ever heard is: we're all playing the same video game but you're playing on easy while others are playing on harder settings.

(Watch the Nosedive episode of Black Mirror.)

You misunderstand

Also a white dude living paycheque to paycheque and with an education I can tell that you don't understand what white privilege really means.

That's cute

...if you think that puts you on a level playing ground as any POC or women in general.

As a white male

The feminist marxist SJWs won't be truly happy until you actually are homeless and broke.

Wow!!

You're basing white privilege on your income?
Seriously! If that's the case.
Go check out a women white or not and ask her how much her pay difference is and she is also living pay cheque to pay cheque. Can't be a women that his a CEO. Trust me when I say. If you go up to a women and ask her tell her you're trying to understand white priviliage. She will talk to you. Most men dont even realize there privilege or what privilege is.
You thinking living paycheque to paycheque has something to do with that struggle, is not. It's called the human struggle living paycheque to paycheque.

"It means something in reality and you ignoring didn't change it."

Reality is very thin. Reasonable people can agree that there are rocks and rivers and the sun and moon and stars, but the existence of "problems" or "injustice", that is another issue entirely. Since the advent of Neurology and Pharmacology, it has been apparent that perception of "problems" or "injustice" or "crap" (in the metaphorical sense, scat is real!) is a product of activity that exists solely in your nerves, without an external correlate.

"we're all playing the same video game but you're playing on easy while others are playing on harder settings."

We all live in the same world, but how you perceive that world, that is a matter of your neuropharmacology. The Neomarxists deal with this by suggesting that science is a "social construction" or something like that. I am not required to structure my nervous system such that I perceive the same problems that you perceive. The ontology of problem perception is in the material constitution of your nervous system---you are not accurately perceiving some externality that the OP is failing to perceive, you simply have a different nervous system than OP and, therefore, perceive problems differently than OP does.

This really shouldn't be difficult to determine. Let's say my family owns a couple of million in real estate. I am not going to think the land title system is "problematic." Let's say that my family owns no real estate. I am more likely to perceive the land title system as "problematic." Who is right and who is wrong? Well, when it comes to the structure of the nerves, the most we can say is "person who perceives problem X has nervous structure Y," and "person who does not perceive problem X has nervous structure Z." Obviously, what, if anything, that determines which of those nervous structures is preferred is going to be, itself, a nervous structure.

So, at bottom, you simply want to control other people's nerves, by swatting them with rhetoric about "reality." I do not accede to that, my nerves are my own, any attempt to alter them by force is a battery.

If you don't want to live paycheck to paycheck get a better paying job and live within your means.
It's a simple choice , the color of your skin won't change this equation.
