... I have grown up. Like my WWII vet grandfather, who saw smoking as a sign of "personal liberation" (nazis were against smoking, you see...), I see it as something I do because I want to, and the rest of the world can go suck eggs.

In spite of all of my dope smoking, I still pretty much gag when crossing Georgia street at mid-day, thanks to the exhaust. Or for extra fun, head out to the parts of the Trans-Canada where you can walk/ride right alongside the wall separating the freeway from the City. It's fucking disgusting.

If you want to improve air quality, do something about motorcar exhaust, not dope smokers.

There are many other worse smells in this city. I don’t smoke weed but the smell doesn’t bother me.

I sympathize with the OP in principle, but I find the two smells vastly different.

Maybe it's because of all the added chemicals, but tobacco smoke bugs the crap out of me. I can even pick up a cigarette smoker two cars in front of me when I'm following them in slow moving traffic. Pot smoke doesn't bug me at all.

Sadly, for you, it's going to get a lot worse come this summer.
