I wish I could make a good living and not have to work.

Because it seems like we have many many people in our society making good money and relaxing and chilling out all day.

Fuck working for "the man". Half the time, unless it's a stellar company or an occupation you're really spiritually satisfied in, you're going to end up producing far, far more for your employers (especially if you work in sales/corporate) than they will ever give back to you. It's disgusting and maddening to think about, really. They just make you scared of leaving by brainwashing you and dangling benefits and "opportunities for 'advancement'" over your head like a horse to a cart.

Even if you just do a basic sole proprietorship setup and take clients (say for personal training, tesl, or some other basic skill like that), if you advertise enough and build up a solid enough clientele, you can work really solidly (20+ hours per week/as much as you want), then just work whenever you like, or even supplement your income with a part time gig you like enough to show up to. In any case, your time will be your own. You won't be at anyone else's beck and call- at the very least, you'll feel free even if you have to make exceptions for clients. AND if you charge roughly 20-40$ for your services and build/give real value and results to them, you'll pretty much be on par with virtually any entry-level corporate job, and can make even more than that as your business expands and you find other income streams.

Of course, you can also sell your business should it start getting lucrative or you feel the need to move on, which is also nice. You can also write off a lot of personal expenses as business expenses... Hope that answers your question. It won't feel like working if you enjoy it and you're working for yourself, even if you're putting in 50+ hours a week. Just be sure to declare all your income on your taxes. ;)

Don't let a city that is a playground for the rich and retired fool you. Those people have the means and time, AND no jobs

They’re scamming the system

It's not rocket science how to make money in this economy.
I'd rather be a well off chill relaxing guy who took advantage of the opportunity to prosper than a whiner who passes on easy money .
Hope y'all enjoy working for the "man" you poor lazy fuckers.LOL

Just to clarify my earlier comment: by that, I meant "OP would fit right in if he did that."
