One Day

One day I’ll find someone who loves me as much as I loved you. Who adores me and would do anything for me. I hope that day is soon, because I’m starting to lose faith. And when that day comes, I hope that I don’t think about you any more. You never deserved me, and I hope that the girl you chose over me hurts you, like you hurt me.

Entitlement, not faith. And you could stand to lose that.
You're not an attainment that someone deserves (or not). You may be a suitable partner for someone and unfit for another.
And even if it's a good fit, that's not a given for every moment of every day, nor is it in perpetuity. Staying together means work and pain and change and compromise... Not like buying a handbag, or even like finishing a curriculum.

Funny how people bitch about hiring practices that exclude everyone but the imaginary "ideal candidate" who can do the whole job right, on the first day... But that's what they seek in their romantic partner.
This isn't a movie or Hollywood or Cosmo. Get real. And please, find some humility. That too-good-for-it vibe is a dealbreaker.

lose correctly . Instead of the usual loose, that's so annoying.
Sorry this doesn't have much to do with your post, but is was so refreshing to see.

You sure make a lot of assumptions about the OP, without knowing who they are, or the dynamics of their former relationship with the person they're talking about. It looks like you're just projecting your own bullshit that brought you here.

You should know people like this. They only "want" you when they think you're unattainable or becoming unattainable. They could know that you're in love with them, but if they see you straying away because they're off with someone else that's when they suddenly "want" you, and sucker you back to them. Usually they'll just crucify your heart as soon as they get it from you, because it's all about ownership, power, and control for them. Sorry to disagree with you slightly on this, but people like that, don't deserve the love of their victims.

Everything I wrote derives from what the OP offered as a starting point. It's limited, obviously, so I worked with that was offered.
I'm not lonely, and certainly not interested in a relationship (or even an acquaintance) with someone who apparently thinks they are a gift from the gods. And such delusional egotists are LEGION.
Pro tip:
You're not that special. Not among billions of women on this planet. This applies to all genders.
Same as me - I'm just some guy.

Yes, had some like that, so familiar. But it's hard for me to tell whether that special case applies here... Insufficient data, I judged.
