Just running an errand in New West
posted June 13th, 2018 at 12:45 PM
and in a 5 block span I was asked for money 3 times, once by someone very much in my face.
Another couple of guys were fist fighting in an alley while a couple of other guys cheered them on. Lots of alcohol present.
And the sales clerk at my destination was a rude, obnoxious person with no customer service skills.
Just a simple errand and I got home stressed out, feeling anxious and depressed.
Fuck, is it me or is there a certain hostility taking over the Lower Mainland?

Every second weekend to hit up Dollar Tree,Army and Navy, and the antiques places. For years... and not once have I been hit up for change, never seen a fist fight, and never had a bad teller.

Just another day in the royal city. There are vast swathes of the lower mainland that should be avoided like the plague. Lots of inbreeding and banjo music very prevalent in these parts of town.

Lived in New West these past 8 years...get asked for change maybe once every 2 weeks..only saw one fight and it was mostly pushing and yelling and most people in the stores are friendly enough.

Gotta love the comments..."I'm broke and constantly bitch that Vancouver is too expensive but I'm still a Vancouver snob that would never ever live in a place like New west!"
