... on dating sites: Take a look at your last message to them. If you’ve only responded to their questions, talked a bunch about yourself, and then haven’t asked them anything about themselves to get to know them better or shown interest in their opinions... You’ve basically raised a red-flag that you’re a self-centred boor.

I'm literally the most boring person in this town. It's why I can't date anyone. I would have nothing to connect on, and would bore absolutely anyone. No one think you're boring today, I got it covered for this one time. Are you still reading this? Are you not yet bored?

Maybe they answered your questions just to be polite, but really aren't interested in you. If they're not showing the interest, just take the hint and try someone that will be desperate enough to hook up with you.

It only seems unhelpful if you're unaware of the scads of research on how physical attraction, that is, visual attraction, is the name of the game in dating, especially online dating. Now that we have twitter and things like this, we can even see women openly mocking ugly guys. There's even women who admit that the difference between "flirting" and "sexual harassment" is nothing objective, it's just whether the guy is hot or not. Ugly guy says "hey, Becky, nice dress" = SEXUAL HARASSMENT. Hot guy says "hey, Becky, nice dress" = FLIRTING.

This is a real problem for the West. How can we possibly have a system of discipline for sexual harassment where the sole basis is, more or less, whether a guy is attractive or not? It means the crime is really being ugly, it's the aestheticization of discipline/politics, I hear that fascists were really into that!
