What the F is wrong with people

I guess this is our new norm smoke filled sky's for the better part of the summer. As a long time resident of the south coast a place I intend to spend the rest of my days I'd like to ask all the people of the province and those that visit to please obey the fire bans and be very care full when smoking. And moving forward I thing the government should have some new laws regarding the penalties for those who start forest fires due to there negligence. I say Jail time is the only solution if you start a fire that cause damage to peoples property or causes people to be displaced from there homes or effects peoples lively hood you should spend the next FIVE fire seasons in jail I really think this would make people think twice about what they are doing before they do something that might make them miss five summers. This is my take on the issue like it or not I don't give a F

throw the book at humans that ignite fires....but how....will we make lightning strikes pay for their evil actions (over 90% source of fires)

this has nothing to do with climate change and is definitely just the result of people behaving badly. (And yes, of course, because I have not lived as long on the south coast as you, oh wise one, I am very careless and do not care whether I start a forest fire.)

Of course I understand that climate change and lighting are a huge factor I'm talking about the human factor. As humans we can do our part like not having a camp fire or any kind of fire or being careless with a smoke during these super dry conditions heck you could even start a fire by laying down your dirt bike it's that dry.
I feel as humans living in area so subject to forest fire that we have a responsibility to do our part.

... is lightning strikes and lack of provincial budget to deal with the issue. You think we don't know from satellite images where every fire of note is within hours of its taking hold? Of course we do. What we lack is enough $$$ to deal with these fires.
