You won't want to come back.
Beyond the boundaries of the reality distortion, you realize it's a big world out there. Plenty of other places to be.
Life's too short to spend in Tinytown. And if it takes desperation to break you out of this mental jail, that works too.
Smooth journeys, and may the wind be ever at your back.

You also need to learn how to construct a proper sentence. Have fun in California!! Wish I was coming. And trust me, you do too!

You leave vancouver

And then end up in a shit place in the USA? Do you lack that much of an imagination? Canadians go to the UK, Australia or some exotic place, not that shithole country obsessed with superficiality. And you will pay taxes to support that imperialist and awful regime.

Reality check

@youleavevancouver
What a wonderful mix of denial and irony.
Van is nothing but superficiality. And California is a big place. Much of it is very friendly and helpful, not pretentious in the least. For example, I've spent a little bit of time in Ontario, CA, doing a tech site visit. It's a nowhere kind of place - mostly logistics, warehouses, trucking and rail links.
Nothing like what most people think California should be. Flat and dusty, with no water in sight and some modest mountains in the middle distance. Blue-collar, gritty and transport-industrial. Great people, though. Sad to say I'd choose it over Van, but hope to never live in the US again so it's out of the question.
Oh, and this dude has NO MONEY. It's one of the reasons why he left. Moving to Oz is expensive, and UK more so. On the other hand, much of California is very affordable and low-key (it's enormous relative to LM) and the US southwest also has a huge underground economy. Potentially some work to be had there, especially in sanctuary cities.
I hope he finds his way to a good place. The Inland Empire is a cheap area to live in (because it's inland and largely poor). Though Texas may be more his speed.
